The 10th Annual Kids For Kids Golf Outing was held on Monday, September 16th at the Glen Oaks Club in Old Westbury, NY. Total Fire Protection, who is a proud year-round supporter of The Kids For Kids Foundation, was happy to participate and help raise funds for children and their families dealing with catastrophic medical challenges.
With glorious weather and full-capacity attendance, the event was a huge success raising just over $400,000 for St. Jude’s. The day included stretching and sports massage sessions, brunch and the opportunity to play alongside several former pro athletes.
In addition to a day of golf on the gorgeous Glen Oaks course, the event also featured a silent auction and raffles – winners went home that evening with a Rolex watch, Gucci Bag, Custom Set of Golf Clubs and a Table for 8 at iconic New York City RAO’s Italian restaurant.
The evening’s dinner program featured live entertainment and an expansive smorgasbord of international cuisine. After the meal, Paula Head a beneficiary of St. Jude’s shared her heartwarming personal story and the memories of her daughter Carson. Speeches were then made by several event organizers, including Total Fire Protection’s co-owners Robert Catalano and Joseph Capone.
“My brother Robert and I really believe in the good work Kids For Kids does,” said Joseph Capone, co-Owner of Total Fire Protection, along with his brother Robert Catalano. “We’re big supporters of Kids For Kids and the golf outing continues to be a great success year after year.” Robert Catalano added, “Last year Kids For Kids raised a total of $1.5 million dollars for the children and families of St. Jude’s. That’s pretty impressive. It just shows you how dedicated everyone is to this very important cause.”
