October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and an ideal time to learn more about this disease and the effect it has on the community. Statistics show that 1 in 8 women in the U.S. will be diagnosed with breast cancer during their lifetime. And in 2023, it’s estimated that 297,790 women and 2,800 men will receive a diagnosis of invasive breast cancer. However, there is hope with regard to breast cancer. If this type of cancer is caught in the earliest stages and it’s localized, there’s a five-year relative survival rate of 99%. With early detection and treatment, people can engage in a good fight against breast cancer. Currently, there are more than 3.8 million breast cancer survivors within the U.S.
Fortunately, there are many organizations, businesses, and individuals who are lending a hand to raise awareness about breast cancer and offer fundraising access to offer funds for research, treatment, and support. Total Fire Protection is one of these businesses.
Extinguishing Breast Cancer
